Simon Tibor from Hungary is a sound artist / multi-media composer who studied sound design and works under the
Mooorph moniker in various art projects. His basic idea was to discover the inner life of synthetic
sounds - watching the intimacy of dead electronics and intoxicating the frequencies. His body of work showcases the fragile
evanescent beauty of sounds and space. Simon processes his sound sources -- making
good use of an exceedingly minimal and crisp sound palette -- beyond recognition by breaking them into discreet waves.
But the greater importance, interest and merit -- and beyond the mere fact of their having
undergone a series of manipulations -- are the sounds themselves: understated shards and fragments, not unlike profusely
scattered droplets, that lie placidly somewhere between utter silence and in the subtlest
of harmonies.
